    Stretch Film Usage Guide<\/h4>

    Our stretch film is designed to help you produce high-quality silage<\/strong> with ease. To achieve optimal results, correct application is essential<\/strong>. With nearly 40 years of experience in the agricultural sector, we strongly recommend that you follow the instructions below.<\/p>

    1. Storage & Product Inspection<\/strong><\/h5>

    • Do not use<\/strong> rolls that appear damaged or deformed.<\/p><\/li>

    • Any damage must be reported in writing to your distributor within 14 days<\/strong> of delivery.<\/p><\/li>

    • Store rolls in a dry, cool place<\/strong> (ideally 15\u00b0C\u201320\u00b0C) away from sunlight.<\/p><\/li>

    • Stretch film is a “living” product and should be used within 12 months of production<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>

    • Protect rolls from impact, especially on the edges.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      2. Keep Away from Chemicals<\/strong><\/h5>

      Do not expose the film or wrapped bales to the following substances:<\/p>

      • Herbicides and pesticides<\/p><\/li>

      • Fertilizers<\/p><\/li>

      • Sulfur dust and ammonium chloride<\/p><\/li>

      • Oils, copper, zinc, or iron-based products<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        These chemicals can severely damage the film’s structure<\/strong> and compromise silage quality.<\/p>

        3. Ideal Weather Conditions for Wrapping<\/strong><\/h5>

        • Avoid wrapping in extreme heat<\/strong> or under direct sunlight.<\/p><\/li>

        • Operate in shaded areas and in temperatures below 30\u00b0C<\/strong> for best performance.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          4. Grass Cutting & Harvest<\/strong><\/h5>

          • Cut grass when it begins to form heads<\/strong> (early bloom stage).<\/p><\/li>

          • Perform harvesting on dry, sunny days<\/strong> for the best results.<\/p><\/li>

          • Overly wet grass<\/strong> leads to poor fermentation, mold, and spoilage.<\/p><\/li>

          • Never wrap bales during rainfall.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

            5. Baling Guidelines<\/strong><\/h5>

            • For silage: aim for 35%\u201350% dry matter<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

            • For haylage: aim for 55%\u201365% dry matter<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

            • Ensure bales are dense, symmetrical, and tightly packed<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>

            • Do not<\/strong> use sisal twine. Only use polyethylene or polypropylene net wrap or film<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

              6. Bale Wrapping Instructions<\/strong><\/h5>

              • Wrap the bale within 2 hours of baling<\/strong> to preserve forage quality.<\/p><\/li>

              • The outer surface of the film<\/strong> must face the bale.<\/p><\/li>

              • Recommended pre-stretch levels:<\/p>

                • Round bales: 55%\u201370%<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

                • Square bales (only with 750 mm film): 80%<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

                • To check pre-stretch, measure the film width during application:<\/p>

                  • 500 mm film \u2192 should stretch to 38\u201342 cm<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

                  • 750 mm film \u2192 should stretch to 58\u201362 cm<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                    7. Recommended Number of Layers<\/strong><\/h5>

                    • Apply at least 6 layers of film<\/strong> using the 2+2+2 method.<\/p><\/li>

                    • For storage over 6 months or for haylage: apply 8 or more layers<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>

                    • In tube wrapping systems, apply 6 layers per overlap<\/strong> as well.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

                      8. Stacking & Transportation Tips<\/strong><\/h5>

                      • Ensure there are no loose ends or film tails<\/strong> after wrapping.<\/p><\/li>

                      • Transport bales as close as possible to the wrapping site<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>

                      • Stack high dry matter bales up to 3 layers high; low dry matter bales should be stored in a single layer.<\/p><\/li>

                      • For best results, use horizontal stacking<\/strong> with overlapping bales.<\/p><\/li>

                      • Avoid any punctures or abrasions<\/strong> during transport.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

                        9. Best Practices for Silage Storage<\/strong><\/h5>

                        • Do not store bales under trees, near fences, or in areas prone to standing water.<\/p><\/li>

                        • Gravel or sand surfaces<\/strong> are ideal for preventing moisture damage and film wear.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
